Sing-Song kids version of The Lord’s Prayer

This evil, goes beyond human dimensions. That’s why I’m so involved with the Lords Prayer. It’s not of human invention.

We say part of it .. the part that I say is tacked on by someone other than Jesus ... we say it after a pause and the priest says something and then we say for thine is , etc.

It is NOT the best part. It’s at best redundant.. too obvious. More of man’s jazzing things up a bit beforeJesus bores us all to tears.

After all that he said which was so full of import and meaning we get this vanilla lip synch.

And that’s the part we think is so groovy?

Jesus never spoke in cliches. Anyone can be flowery in their speech but ultimately you wonder if they know what they are talking about!

Jesus never tried to be flowery. It was anything but flowery. He wasn’t an English major.

He starts off praying. Listing one by one the most important bits. That’s what the disciples asked him right? how do we pray? They didn’t say how do we praise? So I guess he just threw that in there for good measure.

And that terrible song that is so popular. Oh it really gets going there after the actual prayer is over. And they really clear off the dance floor and cut the rug.

They virtually spent no time whatsoever developing a melody until the end of Jesus words!!! Then they really showed there skills as composers. really went to town on that doxology.

It reminds me a little bit of how the heathens whip themselves into a frenzy.


That old soft shoe. Lol.

I would prefer even this sing-song version for kids!!
